About

Rotjester Rottweilers & Wildside Bengals
Our Story

The Beginning

A few years ago, our family dog (a boxer) died of cancer without any warning, aged 6. He was much too young and my family grieved a lot. When we were ready for another family dog, we were overwhelmed with pet shops and breeders telling us all kinds of made-up stories about their dogs being purebred without any proof or any traceable health and bloodline guarantees.

This left us completely disappointed and confused. A decision was made. I would research relentlessly and find the dog with the best possible bloodline, for best health, temperament, intelligence and longevity. I went back to Rottweilers having had so much experience with them in the past and a huge respect for the stable nature of the breed.

Once I found what I truly consider to be the best dog in the world, I decided I should allow others with similar experiences to have access to these companions and their superior qualities and bloodlines also. The idea grew with the same momentum as Bengal cats. This is when the “Rotjester” kennel and “Wildside” cattery were born. It makes my family proud that you too, can have access to these top quality companions. And would be hard pressed to find better quality pets in Northern VIC.

Our Pledge

Breeding Goals

To take a mix of the highest standard of champion bloodlines, in both cats and dogs, and create a line of “pets” that are not only intelligent, agile, and conforming to the highest levels of their breed, but also, to weed out as many hereditary and genetic defects as possible, including rapid ageing. To produce a family member/companion/guardian, with a love of human interaction, that is unsurpassed in every possible aspect of quality and temperament.

Although the idea was always to create high quality, healthy, reliable family members for people, our interest still rides mostly with the animals. With that in mind, we personally guarantee that, should Rotjester or Wildside profit more than $20,000 in any one financial year, we will donate $10,000 to the RSPCA, Sea Shepard, or both!

Additionally, should you choose to enter competition showing/IPO/obedience with one of our companions, to a point of achieving a title, we will refund you 50% of the purchase price!
